Low and slow is my recommendation.

I know you probably want instant results, but with tretinoin it can take few months to see good improvement in your skin; being consistent with your use while minimising irritation is the key.

I’d advise you to start with 0.025% strength, and only use it once a week (or twice at most) for the first two ot three months, then slowly build up use.

Don’t forget to use sunscreen.

HornyHornersPinkyWinky · 11/07/2025 14:59

OP I buy mine from Farmacia Tristaina (because I’m not in the UK so can’t use the sunscription services), I use Retirides which they sell.

treesarealive · 11/07/2025 15:08

That’s great advice. Thank you

Even if you don’t have sensitive skin, it’s always smart to start low and let your skin build tolerance. Most people (even with normal skin) begin with 0.025% or 0.05% strength. Starting too strong too soon—like jumping to 0.1%—can lead to peeling, purging, and unnecessary irritation.

I started with 0.05%, and used it just 2-3 times a week at night for the first few weeks, followed by a thick moisturizer to buffer it. After about 6–8 weeks, my skin adjusted beautifully—my texture smoothed out, and those tiny under-skin bumps started disappearing.

Also, if you're still shopping around, I ordered mine from DermacareHub they sell both tretinoin and retinol. I wasn’t sure at first but ended up being super impressed by their customer support and packaging.

I got a coupon code also BEAUTY10.

I started with the lowest strength which was 0.025% so here goes the routine with that:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face,
Sebamed clear face gel,
Garnier spf
Evening:
Micellar water
Cerave moisturizer,
Tretinoin (0.1) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

It's on prescription in the UK because of potential side effects. My son had to go for monthly blood tests, I think for liver function. Be careful and watch for anything changing while you take it. Worked brilliantly for him.

The 56euro cream is excellent but so expensive. Would love to find this combination from somewhere else.
