I'm short and sick of having to take up trousers.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

My DD gets Next & New Look petite.

I often by 3/4 leg trousers or cropped. The crotch is usually very low though…

I’m 5ft and a little bit. I find Next and M and S petite ranges are the most likely to fit without further alterations.

ASOS

Yes, the damn low crotches. They’re the bane of my life!

I'm 5ft.

I buy SHEIN petite wide leg trousers and they're my new favourite item! (I don't want to hear the lecture on the ethics from anyone considering it. We can't all be saints )

I buy petite trousers from River Island online (but only sale items are the prices are extortionate if not )

M&S do a limited range in extra short (I find the short are often too long).

MIL is tiny and petite, I have got things from pixie girl and lovall. Next have some petite stuff but overall there's very little choice.

Saint & Sofia short length is great. Also M&S short length.

I'm 5'1"
Just bought some black bootcut jeans from New Look and they're fab.
Lucy & Yak petitie length jeans are also OK but I go for styles that look good with a roll up ankle, like the Addison jeans.

Shein do a petite range, I’ve got some lovely linen blend trousers for summer

WhatMe123 · 08/07/2025 21:33

Newlook petite, next petite matalan petite
ASOS do petite too and good for dresses not bought trousers from them sorry

TourdeFrance2025 · 08/07/2025 21:37

For me it has to be 'cropped' & even then they're often still too long & have to go back 🙇🏻‍♀️

We order a fair amount of DD’s clothing from Korea. She also has a waist measurement that defies size charts so it helps.

Mostly I’m just really happy I learned to sew.

I’m five feet and find Next petite trousers too long by a few inches, very frustrating because I’m sure they used to be shorter as in now I’d have to have them shortened but I never used to do, particularly with their linen trousers, I put a pair up against me in their shop last week and they were trailing on the floor. M&S I now have to buy their extra short but I can never find them in any of their shops and when I find a pair I like online they don’t seem have them in an extra short.
I’ve bought trousers from pixie girl and Shein most recently and Fatface jeans in their short fit work well for me but they can only be bought online, it’s so frustrating being so bloody short.
