1.5ct is very small for an aquamarine- they are typically much larger in cocktail rings.

Diana’s was huge if I recall so if you’re looking for something similarly striking you probably need to start with about 13carats.

the good news is that antique shops are absolutely full of them, anything flanked with diamond is going to push price up but otherwise you get a lot of bling for your money.

(also I personally really like the cold icy blue aquamarines which are cheaper than the deeper blues)
