Jacket/Cardigan to go with dress with bows on shoulders

Have this dress, love it. Planning to wear it this summer in Denmark and Sweden. Will deffo need some kind of top. Planning to wear with tan block heels. Have broad shoulders so worry about looking like American football player.

Anyone solved dilemma around shoulder bows and cardigans before?!

A shawl?

Can you tie it so that the knot sits forward instead of on top? Or can you sew the strap in place so that you don't need the tie?

I tried moving bow forward but when you try to tie it right at the top of the dress the length of the straps is mismatched so it doesn't look right.

I am not much of a seamstress unfortunately and I do quite like the bows as part of the dress when in warmer bits of Europe.

I have never worn a shawl before, not massively my style, you may be right though it could be the only answer.

I think you just need to keep the dress for hot weather! But you could untie and use a safety pin to hold straps together if you want to be able to put a cardie over.

I really want to wear it on our night in Copenhagen this summer! Will be checking the weather right until we leave...
