Mini/travel hot hair wand

Can anyone recommend one?

Ive googled but cant seem to find anything. I dont want a curling tongue as the clip leaves a ridge on my fine hair.

Ive seen some but theyre £17 from dodgy sites and I'd be worried they'd burn my hair to a crisp.

I got a sucky in thing cheap and its great at curling once i figured out how to use it, cost about£14 on amazon

Why a mini one? I would just get a normal one or the barrel would be short and hard to use.
Regular hair wands don’t have clips and are very affordable days, plus they are pretty compact for travelling anyway. I have a tresemme on that was about £20 and has lasted years.

What sort of curls are you hoping to achieve? That will dictate which wand will suit.

They dont work on my hair sadly, Ive got one languishing under my bed. My hair's too fine and doesnt hold a curl well no matter what mousse or fixer I use.

@Twisterpiggy I only have shoulder length hair so dont need a full size one and I'm trying to cut down on what I pack. I'm trying to achieve loose waves. It's fine and silky, so wont curl well no matter what I do.

Have you tried a heatless curlband?

Game0fCrones · 27/06/2025 14:08

I miss-read that as heatless husband!

No, I think if I'm away, I'd want the option to fix my hair instantly, without having to wait.

Can you use straighteners to curl? I use mine to curl my hair. The ghd cordless straighters are amazing for travel.

Game0fCrones · 27/06/2025 20:01

Yes, I might just have to I think. Thete seem to be a lot more travel straighteners than wands.
