I purchased some Clinique stuff yesterday, but can't say that I am overly impressed tbh

I got their Superbalance Foundation and a matt powder.

I don't think the coverage is particularly great, also it is a bit pale, and definatly not better than the foundation I was already using, which was a Loreal one (i think).

If it weren't for the goody bag I got with it, i'd be feeling a bit ripped off.

I quite liked the Superbalance Foundation when I used it several years ago, but prefer my Benefit one now. Also their moisturiser never suited me. I do think they are over-rated on the whole.

I'm not massively impressed by clinique either. I think their make up isn't that good.

DforDiva · 24/05/2008 10:53

i have super balance and im paleish, and i use invisible powder over it, it suits me i had lancome before and i was sooo orangey and powder was a bit peely. i think they all different and so hard to find the one suit you.

As a frequent flyer through airports and hence duty-free skincare slut aficionado I have to say I don't rate clinique. They do have their fancy skin-ometer thingy but I always found anything they sold me ripped my skin to shreds.

For skincare I think L'Oreal is fine, as is most of the chemist range tbh. Although I'm easily suckered in by some shiny packaging and an 'oooh you know you want me' price tag in reality most of the normal (ime) stuff is great. Not that I won't get some Chanel for the duty free sake of it.

My skin is quite dry, with my forhead having a tendancy to occasionally be a bit greasy.

It was the invisible powder that I had DforDiva.

Wishing i'd gone to my brothers gf on the Bobby Brown counter now.

i just treated myself to this, benefit foundation and this blusher
excellent product and gorgeous packaging, i find clinique really overrated and their foundations never work on my skin,

CrackerOfNuts · 24/05/2008 12:05

I only got Clinique because my friend and all of her mates on the hen weeked all had loads of it and were all raving about it.

I won't buying it again.

i don't rate clinique at all, i must say. very old science.

i did by the Terry concealer pen thing am am impressed, however.

CrackerOfNuts · 24/05/2008 12:20

Well this is meant to be to wear for my friends wedding in august. We are having the make-up trial next sunday so I had to buy it now.

Really wish I'd just stuck to my L'oreal one now.

I think the superbalance is going to be too oily for me.

I usually love clinique, but I just bought some moisturiser (Superdefense I think), and feel well and truly ripped off. Its rubbish.

But their new mascara, the long lasting one is fabbo. Best mascara ever IMHO.
