Barrel leg jeans or trousers for apple shape

I'm on the hunt for barrel leg or tapered trousers which are comfortable on the waist. Most seem to be cut assuming I have large hips and a nipped in waist. Which I definitely do not. I have lost some weight but it has come off my legs which were relatively slim to start with so if anything my waist now looks even more out of proportion. Any ideas?

but they always sell out

how about a slim mom instead? Like NL TORI.

ETA- the next carrot ones are paired with barrel and the barrel are denoted as “hourglass” and the carrot regular so there will be less difference between the waist and hip. But you may have to size up to accommodate waist.

I find elastic helpful in these scenarios!

@fatgirlswimsThank you this is so useful. I was eyeing up M&S but feeling doubtful. Will hunt down the carrot. Also looking for similar in a more lightweight cotton if such a thing exists.
