summer maxi dresses that are modest (with sleeves and not backless)

I'm looking for modest summer lightweight maxi dresses.
I'm going visiting a rural and conversative area abroad with a friend who has family there. I've never been before but she tells me it's very conservative and best not to wear my usual holiday attire of shorts etc. So, I'm thinking of long maxi dresses with sleeves and not low necklines or backless.
Where can I get such dresses? I'm late 20s and 5ft 6, size 14. Ideally I'd need ones that cover me enough without needing to wear a tshirt or vest top underneath. The weather there will be baking hot, so don't really want to do layers. Any ideas?

I’ve never come across Khaadi before - the sale stuff is mega reduced, quite fancy trying annoutfit myself. What is the fit like @bultaoreune please? I’m between 14 and 16 - it seems like the cut is pretty loose on the tops at least.

Look at Seasalt , most of their stuff is modest , well cut and natural fabrics.
the carved wood midi dress , they have one with sleeves and a sleeveless version in some nice colours such as a lovely green , a warm yellow and a blue print .

@Comtesse I absolutely love Khaadi and almost all my wardrobe is from there as these are the only asian shop which are reasonably priced with good quality. And the clothes look good on too.

Their cut varied between relaxed, smart, and regular. You will have to look at the measurements of the clothes. Kurtas are generally very flattering. I am a size 14 in normal uk sizes with a harmonal belly. So I need things that are loose around the stomach area. For Khaadi, if the fit is smart, I buy size 12, if it is regular then 10 and if it is relaxed then I look if it will fit the chest area and then decide. For trousers, I buy size 14 due to the belly an thunder thighs, and they are ok. I am 159cm, so length wise if it is 40inches then it is an inch too long for me but I can adjust myself.

For summer look for cotton or dobby cotton. Don't go for cambric or Jacquard fabric as it will be warm for hot weather.

@bultaoreune you are a legend! I am not asian so don’t normally wear this style - thanks for your advice Flowers

Try Masai online - their dresses are very modest.

Some Seasalt dresses are modest too.

I totally get what you mean! For really hot weather, I’d go for maxi dresses in lightweight fabrics like cotton, linen, or chiffon that have sleeves and higher necklines. Flowy styles are great because they keep you cool without having to layer anything underneath.

I’ve also seen some nice modest options at Sculpt Fashion House their dresses feel well-made and could work well for a conservative area. You could also check local boutiques or shops that focus on modest summer dresses for more variety.
