Help! I don't know how to not wear jeans!

Slight exaggeration, but as soon as the weather changes and gets a little cooler, I don't know how to wear anything that isn't jeans any more.

In the summer I live in light jersey patterned trousers or long pleated swishy skirts with vest tops/t shirts.

I've recently become really averse to anything tight, either fabric or fastening, and I'm putting on weight and can't bear my body, plus maybe peri giving me.some kind of weird sensory thing! Used to be an 8, now more a high10, with 30g boobs that I hate. Very much a strawberry/upside down triangle body.

My favourite thing to wear is a soft velvety PJ set because it feels nice on my skin and doesn't feel restrictive!

Finally - I'm 5'3.5" so just over petite range height but don't want anything too long.

Sorry for the essay! Ideas/brand recs so very welcome!

Are you in Australia 🌏 🦘 as it's high Summer here in the UK? So you are looking for ideas for winter clothes? How about cords or dungarees.

No! I'm just thinking about it as I'm much comfier at the moment in my summer things.

I feel like dungarees will emphasise my boobs and make me look like I'm pregnant in the 80s!

What about soft wrap dresses

Cottagecheeseisnotcheese · 18/06/2025 19:36

if you like long swishy skirts how about a long cord / wool skirt for winter or cords instead of jeans the fabric is not so stiff so maybe more comfy

Would thermal tights and thermal polo neck under the summer clothes work at least when it starts to get chilly?

FinallyHere · 18/06/2025 19:37

Meant to say uniglo has a good range
