Swishy soft (jersey?) trousers?

Does this sort of thing exist? I want something smart and comfortable (I don’t like dresses). The comfort of gym chic, but smart (probably doesn’t exist though 😅)

Saint and Sofia Apartment Pants

These. I wear them for work and they are SO comfy.

These don't like swishy, but also look great! How's the fit?

Try Halara- I’ve got their jeans and trousers, they are super flexible and comfortable. They can take 10 days or so to arrive, but customer service is good , and the product fab!

I second this

I have these M&S ones and was going to suggest them too - they are great for the price! But annoyingly the length shrunk in the wash so now they are WFH trousers for me but that’s still fine.

No I guess they're not swishy but they are a loose fit - more like slightly flared trousers but in a jogging bottom like material. They're just extremely comfy and like I said, I wear them to work with a blouse or shirt and it works. But they feel like wearing a comfy jogger 😊

For swishy I would go with these (a bit "out there" but so comfy and very swishy):

Free People "Swishy" Pants

or

Wide Legged Zara Pants

Ninepine are absolutely brilliant. Stretchy, soft, different lengths, can be dressed up to be smart but look equally good with a sweatshirt or T-shirt.

I am living in these at the moment

Brilliant, aren’t they? I’m wearing navy ones right now.

RampantIvy · 18/06/2025 22:41

A third vote for Ninepines. They are £££, but worth it. They wash well and don't shrink in the wash.

Bought a nice 3/4 length, jersey, wide legged, black pair with a fabric tie belt a couple of years sgo in Next. Still wer them all the time. Whether similar still exist I couldn't say unfortunately.

Mine won’t let me off the app but they come up under next wide leg jersey trousers for £24
they also have jogger style ones which are narrow at the ankle, same fit and fabric

Willowback · 19/06/2025 06:27

I second the primark £10 ones, I have these in brown, black and beige stripey they are great for working from home and don't look primark.

VikingsandDragons · 19/06/2025 09:27

Fatface are great for jersey soft swishy trousers, search for wide leg or palazzo

The ones from M and S are lovely. I have them in black and navy. I wear them all the time. They're very flattering, a brilliant price and they wash and wear really well.

CurlewKate · 19/06/2025 09:46

I have a pair I love from -of all places!-Morrisons! They have excellent leggings too.
As an aside, the next person who uses the word Hilara in my presence dies a horrible death. Consider yourself warned…..

Gettingbysomehow · 19/06/2025 10:30

I have to say I love gym wear even in my 60's especially addidas stuff, so comfy and stretchy. I bought some cotton trainers black yoga pants which fit so well and feel like they are not there I wear them all the time as part of my NHS uniform.

I like saint and sofia but I always size down, they come up big.

Noshadelamp · 19/06/2025 10:43

I've seen them recently in Uniqlo, around £35

Parnassia · 19/06/2025 13:04

Fatface do oodles of these - plain and patterned; palazzo and wide-leg; full length and shorter. The fabric is usually viscose (sometimes the eco version).

I have lovely ones from Uniqlo called soft brushed easy pants (may have a different name in the uk). Just bought another pair today. Super comfy and swishy in that they have some weight to them but they’re very soft

paristotokyo · 19/06/2025 13:41

Ignore my previous post. It seems like they’re out of stock in the uk but were in the sale for £3.90!!!!

These from me and em are fabulous!

Second this, I have the cropped version, the material is lovely and has kept me cool in the heat. Got them on eBay!

Clearinguptheclutter · 20/06/2025 07:25
