Everything is too low cut at the moment

Just that really. It doesn't sit well with my over 50s bosom. And I am terrible at sewing necklines up.

I agree, I hate low cut things. Im not particularly booby but my everyday bras come quite high so its a problem.
I either use those lacey clip on faux vests to cover the gap or hijab magnets which are fabulous for easily sorting the problem (both no sew solutions coz Im abit crap at it too!).

I bought these from Amazon, they attach to the front of your bra... they've been great for v-neck tops and dresses

I really don't recognise this problem. There are plenty of shirts, blouses, dresses that button up or are crew neck.

Strange, as I like relatively low cut tops (early 50s and not very booby) and feel that everything these days is really high necked. I’m fairly conservative in life and dress but high street clothes generally look puritanical to me. (DD’s Vinted wardrobe is plenty revealing enough so there must be stuff out there but it’s not my age or style!)

I also rarely see anything low cut …

Where are you looking and what are you looking for, @Quirkswork?

henlake7 · 16/06/2025 19:19

I suppose it depends on your definition of low cut really.
Its kinda annoying to order a really lovely top or dress and realiese that a cm of your bra peeks over the top!

Game0fCrones · 16/06/2025 19:21

Can you give some examples? I never see anything low cut!

soupyspoon · 16/06/2025 19:23

Yes I have this problem, I probably have the highest bra Ive seen and have to be buttoned up so high otherwise it shows.

Also (although I dont wear armless tops) I notice a lot of the arm holes are really big so they would show all your bra

I'm thinking Me&Em (just a bit too low cut and also strange cut aways at the back to highlight back fat) and also a lot of Boden dresses. The reviews often mention the low cut-ness too so I'm not alone. Just a bit annoying.

Now that I have found a solution for in that a lot of dresses have frilly/ruffles on the sleeve at the moment so the armpit gaping is prevented. Finally.

I find that summer dresses are often too low cut. We seem to be in a weird stage of fashion at the moment we’re everything is either too low cut, or super high neckline (which is also unflattering on a large bust). Especially places like Sézane. Obviously French women don’t have boobs. It’s really frustrating.
