What can I wear with this top?

I bought this top and it’s too hot to wear jeans with it.

I’m not sure it looks right over white trousers as it’s a ‘bust’ top

help ?

I was looking at it hard trying to figure out what a bust top was 😁how about plain shorts? Or relaxed fit linen trousers.

White or cream trousers would look perfect as you need plain colour as it’s busy

I think I might have to suck up the white. This is a ‘me’ thing as in all the style mags when I was in my 20’s they hammered home that the top should be plain if the bottom is ‘busy’

It will look fine over white trousers, or any bottoms that are the same colour & shade as one of the colours on the top (white, yellow, etc)

I don't understand. If you wear a busy top with plan white trousers what's the issue?

I think it’s jeans on the bottom (though actually a thin denim skirt might work ?)

I'd definitely wear it with linen trousers or wide leg trousers in the same colour as the lightest colour of the top. Or, could you not get denim look linen trousers so they are lighter material than jeans.

Maybe cropped wide leg jeans? There are loads of those about at the minute

@LaurieFairyCake it'll be fine with plain bottoms; jeans, shorts, skirt, trousers. The muted colours look good with the pale denim in the pic.

Oh its lovely, I can't wear white I'm a dirt magnet id probably wear coloured trousers/,jeans with it, I appreciate that isn't particularly stylish.
