Such a beautifully nostalgic print. I’m sure half of my childhood dresses were made of similar fabrics. And I know from long happy days in the more recent past scouting out fabric with my mother - Liberty, JL, Laura Ashley, etc, just how expensive checked, plaid, madras cottons can be.

So my instinctive idea of finding a fabric and having it made would probably be more expensive than buying it ready made. Anything much cheaper isn’t going to have the quality.
