Meeting New Boss Outfit - Returning After Maternity

I am going into work next Weds for a meeting with my new boss - super head honcho, not met him before. I am returning to work in a new role as my old boss is leaving so a kind of promotion, my peers will now be my team. I'm not sure why, but this makes me feel I shoud start making more of an effort.

I would like to wear something professional, but memorable, sassy almost? My working wardrobe before the baby is shot to sh*t basiscally and very black. I am mid thirties, size 10 about 5'7ish. Any ideas as to what I could go for?

Am same kind of size as you - or was! Coast has some lovely things at the mo - very pretty skirts with jackets which can mix and match. Some gorgeous jewel coloured jackets and lots black and cream??

Also think Zara is great for fun work things - jackets etc.

Yes, I like both Coast and Zara and have quite a bit of going out stuff from them. I think this may be my problem, that I categorise my clothes as work and non work and the nice stuff never makes it to work...

Was thinking of a dress??? Never had a good work dress and people in the office would probably fall over. Plus my ankles are not the best. Hmmm.

Will look at Coast website as not been in the shop for ages. Ta

I bought the Annora Duchess Satin one from Coast and wore with a little red jacket with three quarter length sleeves recently?

Am not good with suits as tend to feel frumpy.

Agree is very diff getting away from black.

Good luck with meeting!

Ooh my word! That dress is a little bit special. I am afraid I don't have the pizazz required for that one to carry it off at work. Tis lovely though.

Yes, I like that sort of look very much. Any ideas for good websites. I am fed up of M&S, Debenhams etc. Thanks
