Style options for thinning hair due to cancer treatment.

Hi all, posting on behalf of my DM who is 83 and going through cancer treatment. She usually has really thick curly white hair, but this is really thinning and now patchy, especially at the front. She has tried a wide headband but this didn't suit her. Maybe a wig? Or turban? I was also thinking of maybe a subtle colour for her hair, maybe being white it is looking thinner...although would be unsure about harsh chemicals making this worse. Thanks.

I had a wig but I lost all my hair. Wigs are really hot. I lost my hair in January so it was ok to begin with but by May it was driving me crazy.

Turbans can be nice or perhaps fabulous straw sun hats. When I was on my own I wore cotton turbans around the house.

Thank you for your reply. I'll let her know about wigs being hot...hadn't really appreciated that! Some of the turbans look nice on amazon so may be worth a try. Hope your treatment went well.

I got my turbans from Amazon during chemo. I also had a few hats made out of bamboo material which were soft and comfy. I used a baby shampoo from Moogoo and a very soft baby hairbrush.
