Wisdom of MN needed - shoes bought on a whim - how will I wear them?

I bought the Horse Whisperer shoes (in red suede) from Clarks the other day on a bit of a whim (expensive whim at £45! ). links to the main site, you have to open the site go to womens, find Horse Whisperer

I haven't managed to wear them yet as I'm more of a trainer-type shoe girl.
How do i wear them?
Without socks/those short socks you can get for trainers?
with what? the Clarks ad shows them with 3/4 length trousers, i do have 2 pairs of those that i also bought (have been trying to get enough 'big' clothes for post-pg body ).
Can i wear them with just slightly-too-long cream trousers?

If you hate the shoes, please don't tell me, i'm not taking them back cos i love them, just unsure about how to wear them....")

Definitely without socks. What about a knee length A-line skirt? Depends what shape your calves are I think....

No socks
I'd wear with jeans or with below knee skirt which showed off my shapely ankles
Theoretically!

PerkinWarbeck · 22/05/2008 21:29

with denim/cotton skirt, no socks here

or like this

good excuse for more impulse shopping!

thanks for your replies, been away sorry!

Have worn them!
without socks, don't worry!
with 3/4 length trousers, felt pretty cool actually
must be worth it if they can do that

no skirts for me atm, waiting for chocolate baby weight to shift

I have a pair exactly the same as yours. They look good with jeans, they look good with a knee lenght a-line skirt.

They may look good with other things. I am not enough of a trend setter to have anything else other than the two aforementioned 'bottoms' in my wardrobe.

(They don't look so good with a big blob of olive oil dropped on them like my pair though.....)

justkeepswimming · 01/06/2008 21:15

oh no about the olive oil
can you clean them?
i haven't got that suede spray stuff you are meant to get have you?
