Hairdresser help! Toning bright blonde to subtle blonde

Hi everyone,

I had my hair done at the hairdressers recently (balayage) and I’m thinking the blonde is too bright for me.

it’s currently a golden ish, bright blonde but I want to achieve more of a caramel beigey subtle blonde

I’ll attach photos of my hair currently and what I’d like to achieve

can anyone recommend a toner/shade I should use to achieve this please?

I have history studying in hairdressing so feel confident I can do this/ understand terminology.. I have an idea what I need to do, but need to be sure!

thank you!

Hairdresser here—Go back to the stylist who did it, they should be happy to tone it down for you. If needed they can also pop in a few lowlights to increase the dimension and depth.

(The reference photo you’ve included is on a much darker base than what you appear to be—it won’t look like that unless you darken the base.)

Don’t do it yourself!

Thank you - I’ll drop her a message :)
I more wanted to try save myself a bit of money. Was a huge splurge as it is for me so thought it may be the case of chucking on a quick toner!
the photo for reference is more paying attention to the blonde/caramel part if that makes sense. But you’re right, I probably shouldn’t do it myself!

Yes message her! She shouldn’t charge you if it wasn’t the result you discussed :)
