Does anyone have this one?

I saw someone try it on YouTube and I thought 'that's perfect for a beach vow renewal!' Although we only just passed our 9th anniversary this week, and our next holiday is in December to Mauritius, which kind of wouldn't work, and DH has never expressed any interest in a vow renewal. It's just that if I was going to have a beach vow renewal, I'd quite like to wear that dress!

I'm size 10, 5ft 4, B cup - would the length drown me? I don't think it could be shortened and I'm concerned that the straps aren't adjustable. Don't suggest I go in store and try it on, I live overseas and I'd have to order it from the UK and pick it up when over there next month.

It looks very much the kind of thing that free people sell too - is that easier to get hold of where you are?

I don't think so - Free People website says it would be delivered by our local postal service, and since we don't have an equivalent postal service to the UK, there's a strong chance I would never see it! We hear of people receiving Christmas cards in the summer that were sent 8-9 months earlier.

Although the straps aren’t adjustable they could definitely be shortened. Or the dress could be shortened at the point where the bodice meets the skirt (shortening the skirt part).

However, at that price point I suspect it won’t be as nice as it looks. I’m fond of Zara, but the quality is generally pretty bad so one has to choose carefully - and a dress of that complexity would really need to cost more.

Do you have any good local crochet-ers? And dressmakers. Getting something similar made to fit you might be a better idea.
