Feel good holiday dress / clothes

Hi everyone.

I am off on holiday a week on Monday and I’ve bought some bits to wear on holiday and nothing excites me. I wanted a few dresses that I was really looking forward to wearing but I just haven’t found anything.

so far I have a couple of those basic sun dresses from h and m
a jersery dress in burgundy from hush
some waistcoats to wear with denim shorts
a nobody’s child linen dress which is actually ok.

has anyone found a few really lovely holiday items that they can recommend? Things they just feel great in when they put them on.

not sure if this is an impossible task but any help would be really appreciated!

@Beachlovingirl where are you going? What activities are planned? Do you have a budget?

How long are you going for? In other words are you having a last minute panic to fill the suitcase with things that likely won’t get worn anyway? I’m absolutely guilty of that myself.

I spend all day in a swimsuit and beach cover up / kaftan and then take dresses for the night. 1 pair of tan mid heel espadrilles and 3 pairs of flip flops, 2 nice and one for the pool. Then 2 pairs of linen / floaty trousers and a couple of vest tops for the mornings / walks / breakfast if buffet style. Super light packing!

sorry @MissFritton65 should have mentioned all that - going to Majorca, activities will mainly be eating out in the evenings with the family, and budget I would be happy to spend up to £300 if it was something really gorgeous!

@D20 I am guilty of this and I just look at what I have and am very unexcited! 😂

Ok @Beachlovingirl I bought a lovely white beach cover up from Asda of all places! It's part of Yasmin Le Bon collection. Me and Em and Cos have some fantastic dresses that would suit for evening meals.

I second these. Great in the heat & flattering. Maybe with a vest top and loose linen shirt. Or a crochet waistcoat which is what I'm fancying 😄

@MissFritton65 that kaftan is gorgeous! I love the length of it too and the detail. I’m going to get that! The dress ❤️ love that back detail. I’m going to get a one in green and one in the vanilla colour and I like I can wear a normal bra and not mess around with strapless.

@Peaceandquietandacuppa @hellswelshy it’s funny I never considered trousers but these are lovely and will go great with some tops I already have and a crochet waistcoat - again never considered this! They don’t have the rust red in stock so have gone for brown and black and the zebra 🙂

Love Me&Em for summer dresses and Cos is also a great shout!
