Highly niche... knee length black socks with coloured toe/heel for DD

We have a sock system. It works. Don't judge me.
DS has plain coloured because he doesn't need to wear school uniform.
DH has plain black.
I have plain neutrals.
DD has patterned. Black with coloured toe/heel/writing on bottom for school, where they all wear trousers. Other colours for weekends.

DD is going to secondary and says she'd like to wear skirts (I am going to buy her one or two pairs of trousers and one or two skirts in case she changes her mind) and she needs knee length black socks with them.

I would much prefer to get them with coloured toes/heels, though if necessary I'll sew a bit of embroidery floss on the inside.

But I can't find any such knee length socks. She's a size 3-4 so can wear women's 4-7. The Spanish style with the bows will NOT do both because DD would turn up her nose and because they wouldn't be uniform.

Any tips or leads?

Surely she'll be the only one with under the knee length socks, so you can fish them out that way.

Otherwise it might be time to give her "plain black" and move your DH onto "black pattern"

I've got 3 sons and a DH all wearing the same size pants and socks - it's a nightmare when the system changes but needs must when the devil vomits in your kettle uniform changes.

Is she not allowed to wear tights? It'd be easier to switch DH than find them I reckon.

Unfortunately DH ankle length socks are around DD knee length... Or possibly hip length...
But those women's calf length might work!

She's very short, she can wear tights but she wants to try socks.
Maybe I'll tell her she's wearing tights. We won't mistake her (age 9-10) tights for my (adult size 12-14) tights.

I'm reasonably confident she'll be asking for more trousers as soon as November starts anyway.

I suggest you let her start school and see what everyone else is wearing before you invest in a bunch of knee length socks… chances are she’ll want what everyone else has, which is more likely to be tights or ankle

these don’t have colours but do have a scalloped top so a little bit more identifiable than plain
