Nipple covers for a dress

Hello! Looking for fashion help please - I have a gorgeous white dress that I have bought for my holiday. Hopefully attaching a picture! Can’t wear a bra with it and need to cover my nipples as it’s a lace top. I’ve been looking on Amazon for nipple covers - having never wore them before, I haven’t a clue. Are the silicone ones the best ones? I didn’t really want them to be seen. Can anyone with more experience or knowledge recommend some please? Maybe they’re not even called that?! Thank you 🙏

I have these ones Here
I find them great. Absolute game changer! I’ve worn them quite a few times and they’re still sticky. You can’t see the edges, they are very smooth.

Don’t people just wear a colourful bikini top underneath that sort of dress?

Happyinheels · 02/06/2025 16:52

@cannaethink fab thank you! Ordered! The ones I saw seemed to be fairly ridged! Thank you so much 😊

@Aixellency I’m not sure really. I’m planning on wearing it out on an evening.

Get it lined?

Aixellency · 02/06/2025 17:24

To me, that’s a beach dress - meant to be worn over swimwear. Don’t hate me but putting something that’s trying to be invisible under the open stitched bodice would be a tiny bit … naff. Or cringey. It slightly misses the point of the dress, which is to not hide what’s worn underneath.

aperolspritzbasicbitch · 02/06/2025 17:25

Just be careful if it’s a particularly hot evening….i’ve had a slipping incident with these before 😬

Happyinheels · 02/06/2025 18:45

@Aixellency no hate felt 😆 Hmm hadn’t considered that really. It didn’t look like the model had a bikini or anything underneath it.
I won’t be lining it but thank you for the suggestion @SunnieShine😊
I’m going to try the nipple covers that @cannaethink recommended.
@aperolspritzbasicbitch hah another thing for me to worry about 😆

Nipple daisies, game changer if you don't need a bra. They look freaky when applied but definitely will hide your nipples and I've never had any fall or slip!

Wediblino7 · 02/06/2025 19:20

No advice re nipple covers (as a 36E I’d have no hope). Just wanted to say I think it’s a beautiful dress and if I could get away with wearing that for an evening out, I would! I don’t agree with others that it’s a beach dress, it’s far too smart and besides it’s advertised with an evening bag. I’m sure it’ll look lovely. Have a wonderful time and good luck with the covers!

Aixellency · 02/06/2025 19:25

A beach dress can easily be evening wear as well!

Those will not stay put (in my experience). I'd get some boob tape as well.

JillMW · 02/06/2025 20:34

I often wear a bikini under a dress for the evening. If you get one with thin shoestring halter tie and tie back it always looks nice and will give you confidence. A nipple cover can move or fall off. With a dress like this you will see a nipple cover, I think they draw more attention to nipple area

borntobequiet · 02/06/2025 20:38

When we wore those sort of dresses in the 1970s we didn’t bother to wear anything underneath. People are weird about nipples now.

OneSharpScroller · 02/06/2025 21:01

These are by far the best! You can wash and wear again, they last so long, they don’t curl at the edge and they stay put, they’re a must have for me on holiday! amzn.eu/d/dsEFbUr

Emmz1510 · 02/06/2025 23:42

I definitely don’t think it’s a beach dress or just a cover for a bikini. It’s beautiful and lucky you for having the body to pull it off!

Happyinheels · 03/06/2025 07:34

Good morning! Wow so much conflicting advice 😆 love how we’re all different! Thanks everyone for commenting.

I’m not weird about my nipples - for me to have the confidence to wear a dress like this is a massive thing - stupid as it may sound. I ordered the dress as a wild card and actually really loved it on. However, yes I do feel a little paranoid at my nipples being very obvious - not sure my partners 15yr old daughter would appreciate it either! So for my own confidence I would like to wear something - even if it’s round plasters 🤣😆

Anyway, it was marketed as a maxi dress rather than a beach cover up. And I’ll be wearing it on an evening. I tried a bikini on under it last night and it really
didn't look right at all.

Thanks for all the advice. I’ve gone with the nipple covers recommended and I’ll buy some boob tape too! And when it gets to it I may even throw caution to the wind and let the nipples go free!

Came on to say the same thing. I've got a dress with a lace back so no bra. Nipple petals covered my modesty at the front - I'm 36E and I didn't have any problems. Mine are silicone and from Primark.

By the bag OP, love the dress, where is it from please?

Need wine just in case poster does not respond. It is Next, they have it in the designer outlet branches. I think it was £15 at the weekend and they had other colourways.

Happyinheels · 03/06/2025 12:28

@NeedWineNow it is by Lipsy At Next. There’s a few more pics for you. It’s a very flattering dress 😊

@Happyinheels and @JillMW Thank you very much.

Justsomethoughts23 · 03/06/2025 22:32

Whatever you do, don’t buy the Eyelure ones in Boots. Don’t ask me how I know (ouch).

LoveTKO · 03/06/2025 22:42

Lovely dress for an evening. I’d love to wear it but I have too much boobage and would spoil the hang of it.

whysorude · 04/06/2025 12:08

I second the Neats nipple covers. Bought a set in 2023 and they're still going strong.

Lovely dress btw
