Trousers like this but not Shein

Can anyone help me find trousers with a nice wide waist band like these, not elasticated at the front but elasticated at the sides and/or back? Would like them to be reasonably wide legged (or "barrel" etc)

I don't want to buy from Shein.

Lucy & Yak don't do anything quite right - either legs too narrow or waist-band too narrow, or elasticated at the front, too.

Are you tall and leggy or short?

I sew my own trousers because I’m short (5’2”) and most of the current styles in shops (wide legged or barrel) are far too baggy at the crotch area and look like clown pants on me. Hideous! 😂

Once you’ve made your basic trouser block from your own body measurements, it’s really easy to adapt it to any pattern and draft your own designs. I make them barrel shaped in the thigh/calf area but closer fitting around the waist and hips.

Sounds fab. I'd love to do similar, but I'm shite at that stuff, and have no time to learn ATM!

I'm very boring-sized. 5'6" and about a size 10-12. I like trousers to have room in the arse area (but agree low crotch is not OK!) because I'm larger in that department
