Lucy & Yak for a preteen?

H I have a tall preteen (who is also autistic) and I’m wondering if a very cute Lucy & Yak denim shorts play suit is ok for her.

it looks fab and wasn’t cheap… question is, how uncool/cool is the label and how likely is anyone in her group to tease her about it?

I am so “don’t care what others think” that I’m a poor judge on this stuff.

You can unpick the actual label so it’s not quite so obvious.

The actual brand is definitely older but I’ve got that denim playsuit and it it’s plain and I think it would be fine for that age. One of my DD’s (21) wears playsuits from H&M etc so I don’t think they are unfashionable.

Thanks for answering!! I did think that taking off the label might be a thing; but don’t know if it needs to? Is it a brand that causes strong views?

I teach secondary and a few of the KS3 students wear Lucy & Yak on non uniform days. They also have L&Y bags/hats.

My DC have always worn L&Y and Run & Fly (similar) but luckily, don't care what people think about what they wear. I know it's important for some students however.

Lucy & Yak is a great brand. My adult DC’s (25-29) and friends wear it. Much coveted, second hand bargains!

They like colour, and very much have their own style. They wear with DM’s or trainers.

Loads of L&Y available on Vinted too.

hmmm, I just bought a Lucy & Yak jumpsuit off Vinted but Im over 50.

Does that mean the brand is more or less ageless or am I just a weirdo?!!LOL😆

Love Lucy and Yak but I am 49! I think it’s quite cool but my 10 year old reckons I dress like an old woman so go figure! I bet your daughter will
look great though. If she’s not fussed by what others think then I say go for it!

My also super tall 11 year old (yr 6) has a love of dungarees in general, I’ve bought her 2 pairs of L&Y dungarees (long) from Vinted & she would wear them every day if she could! Her fellow “geeky” friends love them too - but they’re a fabulously quirky bunch so possibly not reflective of others their age.
