M&S bigger range of sizes in store while online is down?

Has anyone noticed if there's more sizes available in store while online is down?

I need L or XL but it's a drive to the nearest big store and not sure if it's worth it. Before the cyber incident it was 50 / 50 whether they'd have longer lengths.

No. I’ve noticed less. I’ve been going in twice a week looking for some trousers I want.

NotsosunnyShropshire · 31/05/2025 16:51

I hadn’t realised they were still pausing their online orders!

Viviennemary · 31/05/2025 16:53

I haven't been to a shop since online has been down. So much easier ordering online than hunting through vast racks of stuff in the bigger stores. Not stocking all sizes has always been quite a big fault of M&S. Find something you like. Great. Oh they don't have it in your size.

JazzyBBBG · 31/05/2025 16:56

I've been to two stores, Telford was 70 % empty 2 weeks ago. Merry Hill was pretty good last weekend and a lot of sizes so maybe the bigger stores are getting the stock.

OvertiredandConfused · 31/05/2025 21:13

It’s worse! I need 20 or 22 long length. I’ve been into three stores this week and none of them have a single pair in my size

chalkyc2 · 01/06/2025 07:19

Not great in my local store either - not many mid sizes at all. It’s so tedious - does anyone know if they have they said when they might get back online??!?

Offeritup · 01/06/2025 07:23

Yep - I've found the same where I am in Northern Scotland. They've also closed one of the stores in my city and are revamping the other so there's building chaos too

SnakesAndArrows · 01/06/2025 07:26

I don’t think they have much of anything anyone wants! I want some specific jeans in a 10 short, but they are out of stock “online” and in my local large store. Gutted, as the ones I bought before the attack are the best I’ve had in ages.

MoreChocPls · 01/06/2025 07:29

Stock levels are appalling. Couldn’t buy a men’s white suit shirt in any size …. Unless I wanted a fancy one at £49 plus or sartorial style.

SoScarletItWas · 01/06/2025 07:30

@chalkyc2 they’ve said July at least before online ordering is back.

TokyoSushi · 01/06/2025 07:31

I live near a Big Store and noticed the opposite yesterday, it was swamped with stock! Like they’d just brought lorry loads of stuff there…

Toooldtopretend · 01/06/2025 07:33

It was completely impossible to get a matching bikini (sold as two separates) before I went on holiday. My local store did tell me what days they got their deliveries so if you could find that out you might stand a better chance of them having what you need.

Maybe there will be loads of stuff left for the sales this year! The impact must be huge given you still can’t even order to store.

July?? Oh no!

Lifestooshort71 · 01/06/2025 07:41

Rubbish range of sizes and lengths! You'd think they'd be flooding the stores with all their summer stuff, lorries full scampering up and down the country, storing it all in portacabins out the back to restock every night. Poxy trousers, so many are one length now but they actually vary if you compare them. I love M&S and I won't desert them but be great to have 3/4 versions of a trouser to take in the changing room 🤨🤨🤨

chalkyc2 · 01/06/2025 08:16

Right @Lifestooshort71?!!!

Well if anyone sees a pair of the cotton cropped palazzo trousers in navy or black in a 12 or 14 short pls let me know…😅

willowstar · 01/06/2025 08:19

No improvement in size ranges where I live unfortunately. I am a size 6 which they never stock in my local branch.

HatesHorsesAndLovesShein · 01/06/2025 08:27

I went last week and they didn’t have a single pair of jeans in a 10 or a 12 in any style or length.

Ginmonkeyagain · 01/06/2025 09:00

Nope. Hunted high and low in Bromley M&S yesterday for a pack of size 14 high rise shorts (previously know as midi pants).

applegingermint · 01/06/2025 09:02

No there’s less sizes. Went into a very big one and it was bereft of the common sizes (10-12-14). Unless you were an 8 or a 20 you were out of luck.

Size availability used to be a huge problem with M&S but they’d gotten better in recent years.

They definitely had them in High Street Ken yesterday as I was shopping the knicker section. Lots of sizes actually.

Hoppinggreen · 01/06/2025 09:08

I went to a big city centre M&S on Friday and while stocks were generally good there were fewer 14's and 16's than any other size.

Ginmonkeyagain · 01/06/2025 09:11

@SocksShmocks ooh I'l have to get down to High St Ken!

LadyRoughDiamond · 01/06/2025 12:41

Nope, from my experience in store, and the chat I had with a member of staff, they have warehouses full of stock but can’t get it to stores. I’d say the cyber attack is the tip of the iceberg for M&S and has served to expose how bad all of their systems are.

July?? Oh no!

I read this too- they are hoping to roll out online ordering and Sparks offers through July. "Hoping" to!
