DH bought me this dress - now what shoes????

DH bought me this dress today after saying I like it on 'How to Look Good Naked' last night!

Have 2 evening wedding receptions to go to and just need some expert advice on shoes, am not into round toes or thick heels - need something quite classy but modern IYKWIM!

Someone would have to plant one in my dh's hands and tell him to give to me before he would do anything like that.

Shoes, you need sparkly and I'm thinking a rounded closed toe jobby.

The dress reminds me of the 1920's, a bit flapper style.

my friend wore this on sat night (but in white), it looked gorgeous. She had very high dark grey shoes on (slightly platformy), it looked good.

not what you asked for but fit nbg's description and they are fab on, they don't have my size unfortunately.

How about something red and bold? slingbacks perhaps, there are some nice ones around a the moment

The lady on TV had very high, platform, silver, round toed shoes and thick black tights - I wanted to look classy and elegant and I HATE roiund toed shoes!!! Sorry I know I am being difficult!

Red sounds nice though - I only ever really though of black!

DH didn't just go off his own back - I told hi I liked it and they flashed the shop and price up on the screen so he had all of the info he needed! But he is being particulalry lovely at the moment!

I just don't like them feel they don;t look terribly elegant!

or this I do think they need to be high. My BF is pretty tall but on her the dress was very short and somehow it needed high shoes to carry off the look.

Love the 2nd pair Katierocket - they are soooo high though!

Will go to Bluewater at the weekend and see if they have them in 9 west there!!
