Upper blepharoplasty Monday - HELP!

FannyBawz · 31/05/2025 06:18

I’ve got an upper blepharoplasty booked on for Monday.

My husband has to go away…it’s a last minute work thing and he’ll be away until Wednesday. surely I’ll be ok getting a taxi home and letting my very capable teenagers help me out? Or am I being selfish? My children aren’t at a driving age yet.

will they literally let me leave without an adult escorting me off? I will have been under twilight sedation. I really don’t know what to do.

if anybody had this, can you tell me how you were right after the operation?

I had mine done at Coppergate Clinic in York. I’m in Manchester and it’s only an hour and a bit. Fantastic place with fantastic surgeons. Would definitely recommend x

I quoted the wrong post 🫤

Good luck today OP. You’ll love it in a few weeks!

madaboutpurple · 02/06/2025 15:30

I send you good wishes for your operation. I will be thinking about you.

IwantmyReptv · 02/06/2025 15:38

I never realised it was such straightforward surgery. I'm too squeamish and poor to do it but I am impressed with the results.

Op, hope you are OK today and it settles down nicely this week.

@FannyBawz (and I love your name 😄), I imagine you're not on screens much the last couple of days, but hope it went really well and you're feeling good. Would love to hear an update when you feel up to it.

Thinking of getting this done myself in Cardiff, if anyone's got a recommendation...

FannyBawz · 06/06/2025 07:02

Hello all, thanks for your good wishes, I’m out and over the worst! No pain and great drugs. Slept upright to avoid bruising as much as possible and I am now yellow around eyes…. Will upload photos when I’ve had my stitches out. Very pleased although the difference is so dramatic that I am not sure I can style it out - was going to blame new haircut or Botox but that’s not an option!

interestingly, my eyes which have always been hazel now look very green apparently because there’s so much more light being let in - this was a change I wasn’t prepared for but it looks great.

I've had it- it's easy peasy, you dont need twilight sedation, just a local and you wont feel a thing. Recovery was easy- it looked much worse than it was and I really think it's one of the best decisions I ever made. I had very hooded lids that had started to droop and its taken 15 years off me. Good luck- you will LOVE the results!

Did your eyes change colour? Mine are so much brighter looking!

That’s great all went well. I just checked my before and after pics and don’t think my eyes changed colour but agree there’s so much more light getting to my eyes!

KatharinaRosalie · 06/06/2025 08:27

People are generally very self absorbed and won't notice, even if you yourself think the difference is dramatic. Will maybe just think you look different but they're not really sure what it is..

hellswelshy · 06/06/2025 08:45

Glad it went well op. Following for inspiration and also would be interested in any recommendations for the Cardiff area. Anybody care to give a rough price for this?

@FannyBawz are you on the Upper Belph FB group? I'd love to see your pics!
I am coming up to my 2 year anniversary now and I'm so happy I had it done x

Ladies please help me know how to find someone good to do this! I definitely need it but I am nervous about what could go wrong as I dont have much luck xx

sunshinechaser · 11/06/2025 19:58

@KazzaT34 someone gave you a recommendation in your area.

CatrinVennastin · 11/06/2025 20:14

@FannyBawz really glad it went well for you.

I am going to go for it next year as my eyes are awful.

justtaketheeffingpicture · 15/06/2025 12:22

How has the healing gone? I have this eye problem but worry as your eyes are " so part of you" if you know what I mean? Do you still look like you?

KatharinaRosalie · 15/06/2025 13:40

Bleph shouldn't change the way you look - I just looked more rested and awake.

Yes, me! Mr Halliwell. He's an exceptional nhs consultant of many years. He saw my mum years ago and was very kind and he did an upper bleph on my friend too (privately).

Could at least have said what blepheroplasty is in original post. I bet loads of people have to google it.

It's what Google's for lol.
