Do I need a serum as well as moisturiser?

If I do I do but what does it do that moisturiser doesn't?

I'm 50. I wear an spf day moisturiser and a night cream after make up removal.

No one needs it it just does extra stuff

I usually put on a hydrating one because I have terrible skin which is both dry and dehydrated - so I wear a moisturiser for dry skin. Having the two together is better for me.

Often people wear them for Vit C or some other ingredient that brightens the skin etc

I use Clarins double serum first, then Clinique dramatically different moisturiser over the top. Game changer!

I love a serum. I use Glow Hub barrier builder serum in the morning, and a hyaluronic acid one in the evening.

They contain ingredients that do what you want, so brighten, anti redness, dark spot correcting etc. Your moisturiser goes on top.

I use a toner/essence for extra hydration in the day as I prefer the feel on my skin. But sometimes use a vitamin c serum at night.
