Beauty products for the Caribbean please!

Going to the Caribbean in December for our 20th wedding anniversary and would love to take some nice toiletries…shower gel, body lotion etc..that have a strong tropical/tropical fruit type fragrance.
Also be interested in ideas for a perfume to take.

I’ve tried the Tropics shower gel but was underwhelmed.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess is a scent with a coconut fragrance.
Molton Brown do a lovely Templetree shower gel, which smells like Frangipani.
Not sure about tropical fruit smells, though.

If you're going for a Caribbean vibe then I'd also look for wet, green scents.

For tropical I highly recommend Tropica by Maya Njie! It smells of pineapple, fig, coconut, sandalwood. She’s a fantastic niche perfumer based in Hackney.

Also Carnal Flower or Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle (both green; CF is tuberose-forward).

Fragrances that have notes of grass, herbs, citrus, forests, earth, leaves, fig, basil.. that kind of thing. I say this because I spent a lot of time in the Caribbean and when I would open my shutters in the morning the first thing that would hit me, especially after rainfall, was the smell of lush, green rainforest. Absolutely gorgeous.

Zara x Jo Malone did a lovely 'green' perfume called Waterlily Tea Dress, to me it smelled like freshly cut grass (probably a bit more English than Caribbean, mind) but I'm not actually sure if that's still in production.

Guerlain's Herba Fresca might also fit the bill.

The Space NK shower gel arrived yesterday and smells beautiful, exactly what I was after so thank you to the posters who recommended this.
I also bought the Paros shower gel and a Sol de Janeiro gel.
As I was a new customer I got some money off too.
DH (who doesn’t even wear aftershave) was very confused about my splurge.

I was going to say the sol de janeiro sets remind me of holidays, not fruity as such but lovely smelling and can layer the shower gel, body cream and spritz. Have a fab time! 🏝️

Oh I’m glad you like it! They do a hand wash and other bits too so you could always keep using it when you’re back as a little reminder

Thats a great idea. I usually have a perfume that I use and then associate with each holiday/trip.
Still haven’t decided on what to take on this one!
