Has any one tried this?
would you recommend the foundation, concealer, blusher and eye products

I need medium coverage foundation and have fair skin with some sun damage, dark circles under my eyes and generally look tired.

thank you

I’ve recently tried them after a friend went on. And on. And on. About them.

I have tried the cream blush, a lip stain and an eye shadow. Absolutely love them. Especially the lip one. Not cheap but I like how it’s idiot proof application that even my clumsy sausage fingers can cope with.

I think I got a couple of extra lip stains which I intend to give as gifts and this took me to a minimum spend to qualify for a mini moisturiser (not tried this yet) and free delivery and you get x 3 free samples.

I was really pleased the products were actually good as there is so much underwhelming but ££ stuff out there. I always enjoyed watching her make over show too.

Ive got a tinted moisturizer i love and have repeat bought . Love eye shadows. Was indifferent about a blusher. Like some moisturisers too.

I love their make up too, but couldn't see any lip stain on the website. Could you tell us the name of the product please?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 28/05/2025 07:51

Hey Delphinium 😊
ok so it’s not called a stain it’s actually called Lip Glow and it’s in their archive sale section £10.80 I think. Shade I have is called Tallis.

There is actually a flyer in this months Vogue to get x 6 print issues delivered for £9 and you get this product as a free gift! Which is excellent value. Just remember to email and cancel once the first issue and your gift (sent separately) has arrived.

Actually that’s wrong - it’s the Lip2Cheek in Pia which is the free gift. I have this also and it’s lovely.

I really like the Trinny London products - BFF is a great cream which has factor 30 sun protection and acts as a base / primer - it gives a lovely sheen to your skin and it adapts to your skin colour. I use it on its own on holiday as it gives light coverage.

Using the Match service on the website gives you an indication of what colours will work best for your skin, hair and eyes. I’ve used the eye and lip pots - it’s easy to use with your fingers but I prefer using a brush.

I would definitely recommend - I use their skincare products as well and have liked everything I’ve tried so far.

MattCauthon · 28/05/2025 13:07

I use the BFF foundation and love it. I haven't tried any of the eye/lip things as I'm convinced I'll lvoe them and I can't afford it.

I do have a sort of powder thing which is great too - in a little tub for shiney/blurring after make up.

I also love the Trinny BB cream - I find dabbing dots on and blending in with a flat-top foundation brush (Elf) gives a super finish, just a bit of blush and skin done!

minipie · 28/05/2025 17:09

I tried the BFF on my hand in store recently and it was nice texture but had very little coverage. Similar to the silver tube Erborian.

I also tried the Miracle Blur which was very similar to an old YSL primer I have which at the time got excellent reviews.

I wonder if she basically finds great products from other brands and dupes them <cynical>

The Lip Glow - does it leave a stain as I’m looking for a non drying lip stain?

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 28/05/2025 18:00

The lip tint I’ve tried doesn’t leave a stain.

minipie · 28/05/2025 18:06

Ah ok thanks

MissMarplesGoddaughter · 28/05/2025 20:07

Thank you so much everyone.

I went to JL BW today and had a mini makeover and ended up buying most of the products used. Also, JL have a makeup sale on at the moment, (in store and online) so all the products I bought were discounted and I was also given a free full size moisturiser.

It's a.minor thing but dd and I went past the trinny concession in kingston yesterday and I noticed the woman on the counter is the same woman who helped me (brilliantly) 18 mo the ago. I really love that staff seem to be consistent too..

Cheffymcchef · 28/05/2025 20:17

Trinny London is partially funded by Charles Saatchi, so I avoid. If you have no morals with women being strangled, it’s meant to be okay. Generally considered too expensive for what it is though. There’s high street dupes of most of her products.

Quirkswork · 28/05/2025 20:19

I've bought a fair bit over the years but never repurchased anything. I got put off Trinny London because I went to their counter to buy Wisdom eyeshadow. I had a tester of it and I knew I liked it and it suited me. Anyway the salesman (who was hilarious and so friendly and camp and who I loved) hoodwinked me into buying a different colour which I assumed would be even better than Wisdom if a pro was recommending it. Unfortunately it isn't nearly as good and I'm annoyed as I also bought a few other products which he said would be perfect but turned out not to be. Serves me right for not sticking to my guns I suppose.

I've bought thar putty filler stuff for lipwrinkles too. Tiny pot for the money.

soontobeamama · 30/05/2025 13:20

There is a sale on at the moment, so a perfect time to try x

Edited

Saatchi invested around 4% initially and I understand he was bought out late 2023 so I don’t think he has skin in the game any longer, but I could be mistaken as I’m no fan of his either.
In terms of products, I love the cleanser and moisturiser I use from here, the texture of the cleanser is simply beautiful. I’ve just ordered an eye cream so hoping it’s as lovely to use. Trinny also seems really supportive of other women in business which I liked as a concept.
