I’m going to have to paint my toenails…what colour?

A bad stub means I’m currently sporting one deep purple big toenail, it’ll probably be there a while. I’ve not painted my toenails since 2019 so will have to get some new polish. Obviously need something dark and opaque enough to cover the damn thing. I don’t do fingernails, fair skin and hair, 64… any recommendations?

Whatever colour you choose, go for quick drying. I have tricky summer feet and use a caramel Rimmel one as it's very neutral

Hot pink or coral.

Mine is Rimmel Caramel Cupcake. If I had nice feet I'd use a coral, but I'm sixties, and been trodden on by horses a couple of times so for me it's about disappearing my toes.

I should have said I don’t like pinks and definitely not coral. I’ve never tried a neutral …always gone for metallic blues but not sure about those nowadays!

How about that Chanel Rouge Noir that Uma Thurman wore in 'Pulp Fiction'? Love that - a classy classic - and I'm similar age to you and can remember everyone wearing it at the time.

I also wear a non-metallic navy - hard to find, I got mine in Boots, I think - bold, not 'little girlie'.

I currently have glittery ruby red - it would hide a bruised nail nicely!

I love very dark blue or very dark green for me feet, high gloss but no glitter. I never do my fingernails, but I do thing my feet look better with painted toenails.
