Swimwear to hide an unkempt bikini line!

ThePartyArtist · 26/05/2025 13:45

Regular swimwear will show my unkempt bikini line. What other options are there - specific products/ shops would be helpful. Need to order online (UK). Would like something where the fabric won't all float up and get annoying! Ideally something petite.

Amazon have loads of tankinis and costumes with boy short style bottoms.i have a couple, really good.

ItsMutinyontheBunty · 26/05/2025 13:52

Slazenger, Speedo and fat face all do swim stuff with shorts.

Tiredofwhataboutery · 26/05/2025 14:05

I like Landsend and their tugless swim suits, lots of options. I have a full coverage boy short swim suit for swimming with kids at the pool and several pairs of their reversible bikini bottoms. There’s always a code to use so knock 20-30% off.

Springtime43 · 26/05/2025 14:07

Or just get your bikini line tidied up a bit??

Hercisback1 · 26/05/2025 14:08

Boyleg costumes are perfect for this.

mumonthehill · 26/05/2025 14:09

Landsend tugless are good but expensive. I have the slazenger boy leg swim suit and it was £15 from sports direct, not particularly glam but is great for swimming.

rulerofthepencils · 26/05/2025 14:10

Either boy leg swimming costumes of which there are loads (Amazon) they do look sporty though or swim shorts with a tankini top, again lots out there with differing leg lengths. I tend to wear shorts on holiday as we do water parks so it saves me having to pick my swimming costume out of my arse crack as I exit a slide.

Why should the OP have to?? Waxing is painful and itchy when it grows back, shaving gives you razor bumps… none of the options for hair removal are great so until society starts accepting natural body hair on females a bikini which covers your bikini line is a great option for stress free swimming.

OP mine comes from Sea Fancy and I recommend.

Another vote for Lands End. Loads of swimwear choice, one piece and serrated. Sign up for emails, you'll get a code within a week or so.

Toddlerteaplease · 26/05/2025 14:38

No one will be looking at your bikini line!

Serrated? Ouch...

GildedRage · 26/05/2025 14:44

Yes @Toddlerteaplease peoole will look and judge. A full bush hanging out the sides and over top a bikini is not normal to see anywhere.
boy shorts, board shorts or trim.

Gettingbysomehow · 26/05/2025 14:49

I wear shorts not for bikini line but because I'm older and my thighs are getting a bit chicken like.

Sorry about long links. Loads of people young and old wear these now. It's perfectly normal and accepted.

My friend had a very bad car accident and wears ankle length swim leggings as she has burns all over her legs and doesn't like people staring.

ColinCaterpillarsNo1Fan · 26/05/2025 15:09

Would trimming with an electric shaver to take the length off & tidy the sides be an option?

BigfootSmallButtons · 26/05/2025 15:38

Or how about she leaves her hair exactly the way wants and the way nature intended, and mainstream fashion can play catch-up to remember what women's bodies look like?

Swim shorts are great, OP.

I buy from Landsend - I go for their tankinis precisely because they do different lengths. (I have to go for long for the top) I'm very happy with the quality.

ChiliFiend · 26/05/2025 17:07

I've pretty much only worn swim dresses since I had my kids - I've just bought one from Halara and I was impressed with the quality. If you Google "swim dress" you will find loads. Some of them are skirted just at the bottom, some are more like a dress (so will float up in a way you won't like) and others look like a sort of very short bodycon dress.

I’d agree about the quality. I’ve had my landsend swim stuff for years and it all looks like new despite frequent use. I don’t mind paying a big more for longevity/ quality.

bettyjane · 26/05/2025 19:14

My daughter got this one in sainsburys recently and it looks really nice. www.argos.co.uk/product/tuc145357781

Finally a bikini thread I can help with 😂. I am very lazy when it comes to cleaning up the bikini area I maybe do it once a year so I have the same problem as you most of the time. TBH I’ve found that m&s are the best. They have bikinis that are wider cut on the front so much less chance of stray hairs poking out the sides.

Sandy792 · 28/05/2025 08:22

I got some really cheap swim shorts from ebay and they've seen me through years of holidays, I'd never wear anything else now.

123ZYX · 28/05/2025 08:36

I like the boden swim shorts and rash vests because I worry about flashing if I wear anything bikini or vest style, but they do have matching tankini tops as well. The shorts have tighter pants style layer, with slightly looser shorts attached over the top
