Such as your go to place for jeans for your figure (plus size, petite etc etc)?

Petite jeans- Boden and M and S
Boring basics like socks - Primark
Fashionable updates to the wardrobe - Zara and H&M but I like the quality of H&M better
Good quality coats and knitwear - charity shops

For fashionable or boring basics items I really like Mango or H&M, then for purely fashionable items I like COS, Arket and &otherstories. Places like Reformation, Frankie shop or Doen are great too if you don't mind spending a little more as the cuts and fabric quality are amazing. I also really love COS for that too actually, just can't always be bothered to trawl through all the websites as it gets a little overwhelming. There's a really good website called Newin.Style that basically curates most of the high street into nice edits which makes it much easier to find what you're after as you can search by things like price, colour or item and it brings up everything new so that makes searching much easier!

I’m 53 and buy good quality clothes from whistles etc for work but for Petite jeans, H&M. Marks has been a bit off last few years. Just got a gorgeous pale blue, soft, wide leg petite jeans from H&M. Soft knits Uniglo. T shirts Mint Velvet or Hush.

I’m 54, a short size 14 and wore M&S exclusively until about five years ago when they stopped making any non-stretch jeans at all. I can’t be doing with stretch denim.

Now I wear Toast Annie jeans and make my own trousers. Luckily I like wide legs and elasticated waistbands!. I’ve quite wide shoulders so I’ve always felt they balanced me out.

Denim - Trilogy Stores (Mother, Paige)
Coats - Max Mara, Piazza Castello
Basics - Falconeri, Aspesi, Peserico

I am very boring about this particular point and have harped on about it on S&B many times, but Sainsburys and Tesco for jeans. Particularly Sainsburys. My favourites by far for shape and quality and although they do tend to come up bigger than other shops the sizing is pretty consistent. I would happily pay 3+ times their price.

Reiss for plain t shirts, specifically their Tereza t shirt with rolled sleeves which is great quality and a good shape and length for me to tuck in and I have it in multiple colours.

Eden Ashram for t shirts and sweatshirts with a design, all a bit yoga-based but they are lovely quality.

All Saints for leather jackets, have never found any elsewhere that come close, and also leather boots.

Sweaty Betty for gym leggings and vests, although never at full price.

I'm a pear shape with fairly narrow shoulders and massive legs, if that's helpful. I'm 5' 6" tall and usually wear between 8 and 12 depending on shop, currently a 12ish as I lose the last of my recent weight gain.

Jeans - Levi’s or Abercrombie
Knits - Arket or Cos
T-shirts - &OS for plain crew necks, graphic tees I like Ganni or Joanie
Trainers - Adidas
Socks - Pairs

I recently got nice summer midi skirts from New Look and Marks and Sp3nc3r, and some denim trousers from Dawson Madder which I love (kind of a Jean/trouser hybrid)

i’m 5ft 6, 10/12, generally a 12 bottom. Feet wise I tend to wear DMs, trainers (have a gazillion pairs) or Birkenstock Bostons so not much help there!

Uniqlo for T shirts and lovely linen blouses
I like their pants too
Fat face and Levi for jeans
Have bought all the above on Vinted, except the knickers!
I have 2 pairs of Clarks cream trainers, one usual one high top.
i charity shopped almost all of my clothes last week and am enjoying picking up new softer colours of my usual styles
Skin has gone slightly olive with age

Jeans for 5’2-5’3, size 6-8: Tesco F&F
Striped tees in decent, soft cotton: Arket
Cheap-midrange handbags, from statement/unusual to classic work-bags or cross-bodies, and sometimes in leather: Mango
Smarter, office-friendly pieces: Massimo Dutti, but I buy in TK Maxx, on sale, or off Vinted
Slim leather boots or flats: Vagabond
Flannel or brushed cotton pj sets: Hush

Britpopbaby · 22/05/2025 07:13

For winter boots then Clark’s is my go to and for more casual day to day it’s Converse.

I really enjoying picking up St Michael by M&S leather bags in the charity shop and in general enjoy finding bags in the charity shop.

I have to agree with pp about leather jackets. I have only got the one and it’s All Saints ( a charity shop buy) and has been such a good buy and the quality is great.
