What do you wear to work in the office

Most people where I work dress casually and some wear jeans and trainers. I prefer to dress formerly for work and would never wear jeans or trainers. I usually wear skirts or dresses or trousers suits oh very formal trousers with a blouse or smart jumper I would never wear a t-shirt and jeans and a million years I don't think that sort of thing is appropriate to wear for work in an office. I am representing my company walking in and out of my building and people outside would see me going into the building and I want them to think I am making an effort and I would feel embarrassed going in wearing jeans and trainers and just because others do I have to be true to myself and dress smartly so I'm curious to know what anybody else here does

I think times are changing especially for younger workers. Does what you wear really give a good indication of how good you are at your job? My workplace is very casual and anyone in a suit or tie looks achronistic, like they haven’t kept up with the times.

I wear cords in winter, chinos in summer, then a plain tshirt and cardigan. Often trainers but not really sporty looking ones.

But I know there are still some smarter places left, maybe City firms? And there’s always someone worrying about a dress code on here.
