funky but practical summer shoes

dear folks - please help me with your links, ideas and general wisdom.

i must get out of my winter boots and approach the summer with new footwear.

the brief - i want something that is pretty striking, unusual and not the usual run of the mill . I like platforms and could do with some added inches to detract from my ever increasing bum and thighs. I need these shoes for work which involves walking about 4 miles a day between nursery drop off and to / from commuting train. they need to be quite smart but its more the style that is important.
budget = under £100!

any ideas??

I've found mine... not sure they'd count as striking though, but they have got me out of the calf-length lace up boots for the first time this year....Here The strap can either be decoration, or go round the back of the heel.

are they comfy AMIS?? I do need to be able to hoof around quite a bit in them but i like the colour!

I'm in them for the first time today, so early days yet, but fine so far . I guess it depends how comfy you are in backless shoes - I always step out of shoes so I actually find this style comfier.
