Looking for a dress like Monsoon Camilla

I'm getting married in a month, very low key, registry office. I was going to wear a lovely dress I wore to a wedding last year, but suddenly feel at age 59 that I'd like something a bit bridal!

I absolutely love this dress but it's too expensive. Has anyone seen anything similar please? I'd prefer a midi version, but I just love the sleeves and general shape.Budget would be £200. Thanks!

Have you tried looking for that dress second hand? Vinted ebay depop etc? Or specific secondhand wedding dress sites

Movinghouseatlast · 07/05/2025 13:10

I've looked for second hand with no joy!

There's a size 16 on Vinted still with tags for £300? I know that's still above budget but thought it was worth mentioning in case it's useful.

There are also quite a few other dresses on their site......

Hi OP, do you mind me asking what size you’re looking for?

I'm looking for a 12, if it runs true to size that is!

Have you looked on the dress hire sites?

blueshoes · 07/05/2025 22:34

I think the Nobody's Child dress is the best interpretation of this style for a wedding.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/05/2025 22:59

That Coast one is lovely. Or could you run to the monsoon one and try And recoup the difference by selling it afterwards?

Shoemadlady · 07/05/2025 23:04

Asos have something similar, I’ve seen it today! Get slight changes done at a tailors / alterations to make it perfect fit x

JellyComb · 08/05/2025 11:59

Have you actually tried it on OP? Bridal dresses always come uo small. You might need a 14. I would go and try loads on first to get a feel of their sizes.

Movinghouseatlast · 08/05/2025 12:20

No, I haven't tried it on. It's difficult as I live 2 hours away from a Monsoon.
