Straight jeans that don’t bag or sag?

Does anyone have recommendations for straight jeans that:

1. Dont end up bagging at the crotch and knee after a couple hours wear.
2. end at the ankle not floor length.

I know that sounds specific but I’ve wasted so much time and money buying jeans that are fine until about half way through the day then they start bagging and look really sloppy. Then you can’t return them as they’ve been worn … The size below I usually can’t get past my hips!

The only good pair of straight jeans I’ve got that keep their shape are the high waist straight leg from H&M but they are floor length, I’m after ankle grazers.

I did buy the H&M high waist straight leg high ankle but I literally got sent the same floor length jeans and somehow these didn’t fit (despite being the same size!)

Ankle grazer type ones I’ve tried: New Look, M&S, Mango, River Island, Fat Face. I am happy to spend a lot more than low end high street but can’t bear the thought of wasting more money (as most try in find but then bag or sag after short wears!)

Can anyone help? I’m amassing a huge pile of dud jeans I’ll have to put on Vinted or relegate to dog walking jeans!

Levi 501 cropped are the best I’ve found. You can get the leg as short as 26 if you want above ankle. If you buy in store they will take up to fit for free too

I get the no stretch as they keep shape well

Also often on vinted- is done on waist size- 27 is an 8 I’ve found

Thank you can I ask your height and what leg length you get? I’m 5ft 9 and usually get a 32 leg in jeans, just thinking whether to stick to normal size (as they are advertised as cropped) or go a leg length shorter?

Levi 724 You can get various leg lengths.

I’m 5ft6 and get the 27 waist, 26 leg for them to sit above ankle if that helps

Levis 501, 501 skinny and wedgie fit are all lovely on and don't go saggy with wear.
Abercrombie ultra high rise 90s slim straight leg are lovely too.

Yes, I personally don't get on with the fit of the 501 due to my body shape but in general their straight leg styles are good quality and come in numerous length s etc so if you go into a shop they will help you find the right pair.

Bonus for going to an outlet store and getting a £100 pair for £60 like I did!

Arket snow jeans.

I went on a similar quest last year, the arket jeans aunt perfect but they were the best I found.

M&S Sienna are my go-to.

I love my straight leg wedgies from Levi's but my all time favourites are my COS straight leg jeans. They hold their shape amazingly and are super flattering.

Levi's high rise ankle straight. No stretch either, which means they hold shape over time.

I agree with Levi’s ribcage straight ankle. HOWEVER needs to be the ones with only 1% elastane to fit your brief. There are others with more stretch that do sag.

don’t be like me and spend loads on the exact size/style on Vinted and be thwarted by the elastane content. Go to the Levi’s shop and try them on!

I like Levi 312 shaping jeans - . here.. I have the darker blue and have had compliments on them from more than one person! They look good with ballet pumps or sandals too in the warmer weather.

I have tried on pretty much every style of Levi’s and the crotch is too long on all of them, so if crotch sag is an issue for you Levi’s might not be the one.

I find River Island jeans really good, a bit of stretch but sturdy enough to keep their shape.
