Advice for a teen that wants nails for prom

Not sure if I need parenting or beauty advice here lol. My 16yo daughter has her prom on Friday. Her nails are short and her thumb nail shape is rather small and boxy. She was planning to get stick on nails but has got them today and they are too long for her thumb nail - they look ok (well, I think they look weird but I am not the target audience) on the other nails but they are more than double the length of her thumb. I have suggested shorter/squarer false nail shapes but she likes those more pointy almond ones.

What would you suggest we do? Buy some smaller different shape false nails? Any links as to what type might work?

I have never had a manicure or worn false nails, but much as I don't want her to get hung up about beauty products I also don't want her to feel like the odd one out. Would I best to take her to a nail salon to get gel nails or something? Tia!

I'd take her to a salon and get gel nails! They look gorgeous and she can get them to match her dress 😊

Yes take her to a salon.

She can get acrylic's to get the shape and length she wants and as pp colour match to her dress.

Should she get gel or acrylic do you think? And do they let her choose the shape of the nails? thank you!

Sorry, and can she just get them taken off by the salon afterwards?

Most common for acrylic for a dramatic change in length and shape.
And gel would be put on top.

yes she will get full say on what she wants.

yes best to get soaked off at the salon to save damage to her nails.
