Is it worth spending more on make up?

I've been using Clinique make up for some years now but am fed up of them discontinuing the products I like.

Do you think its worth buying more expensive makee up? I am tempted to go a bit cheaper now, but not too cheap, still decent quality.

Erborian - it's white but goes skin coloured when you rub it on your skin. It's very light coverage - more a blur look than a foundation look. You can buy small tubes for about £15.
