Who wishes The Clothes Show would come back?

As well as the magazine? There are no fashion programmes on TV ( terrestrial ) now.

Yes! Would love to see that return. There’s never been anything like it since. Loved the show at the NEC as a teenager too.

I used to watch it religiously as a teen.

I have been listening to the Pet Shop Boys recently but missed this! It will be on in the car tomorrow!

Loved it . I used to work all year round as a teen , saving my wages to get the coach to the NEC to splurge it all at the clothes show live. We’d dress in the most outrageous outfits and come away with bags and bags of make up samples and freebies. Such a vibrant atmosphere, celebrities and supermodels everywhere, it felt incredible to a 14 yo from a small town. Watching the clothes show was the absolute highlight of my week.

I would love it to come back. Bored of instagrammers keep or returns and their waggly fingers!

There’s a lot they could cover now too - secondhand market, greenwashing - I wonder why it went and was never really replaced?

Fashion gets covered on Lorraine and This Morning so it does get covered on television.

Insta is boring, I prefer magazines still.

yep insta is just an advert & so homogeneous. I sometimes buy mags and yes it's advertising & they aren't as good as they were plus expensive now but I still find them more inspirational.

I wish it would come back, there are so many topics related to clothing they could cover.

A lot of programmes that were straightforwardly informative and entertaining disappeared in the late 90s and early 2000s, replaced by makeover / competition / reality formats—everything had to have jeopardy and sob stories. The BBC also dropped things like the RI Christmas Lectures, though they have revived them now, thankfully. I'm hoping that things will cycle back round to presenter-led, expert, informative programming again. I mentioned some above that I'd love to see come back.
