Longer t shirts and tops?

I am 5"10, gained some weight due to complications with gyne surgery so now size 18 (from 14/16). I'm in my 50s and need smart casual for work, not quite dog walking but not corporate.

The weight is round my stomach/ across hips area and I need comfortable pull on style trousers, which are all fairly wide.

I'm really uncomfortable in most tops and t shirts as they are a few inches too short.
I want them to reach and cover across my hips at least, and not being scared to lift my arms up without showing by stomach!

I also prefer plain, unfussy designs, no ruffles or flappy sleeves.

Any suggestions of where to buy longer, fairly simple tops and t shirts that go with wider trousers?

Or alternative outfit ideas?

I usually shop in m&s, next, some plainer fatface and whitestuff but finding their tops too short now.

I saw some longer style T shirts on Free People.

Might not be your thing but I bought some plain t shirt dresses from Wrap London that are fabulous for just throwing on.

I just got a linen look striped shirt from H and M which is a really good length. I got xl and am an 18. I also got a Whitestuff striped jersey top which sits a bit longer than others I have tried. I feel your pain as I need tops longer too.

I e recently got some from yours - ship rather than online.

They are long, come in a 2 for X£ deal and they have T shirts and vest tops with nice wider straps if you wear a more supportive bra.

They are also built for woman with a shape rather than straight down. They do a wide variety of colours too.

Best value T shirts I’ve found for years!

@itsgettingweird thanks for the recommendation, I hasn't looked on there before. Nice to see a variety of models wearing the clothes, much easier to cause how the items will actually look!

The v neck t shirts I bought recently from Next are long enough and come down to my thighs just how I like them!! Covers my tum! These are the ones you get in sets.

I’ve been finding that t-shirts and scoop neck vests from Next and M&S are all very long recently. They all come down to at least my hips, and I’m 5ft 5 and not particularly short in the body.

Maybe try men's t-shirts from M&S, H&M, Uniqlo etc - the proportions including length tend to be more generous. Tu at Sainsburys also have surprisingly decent women's t-shirts, quality cotton, lots of colours and a nice cut. Or try and oversized cotton shirt, H&M have really nice striped ones, they're cool, comfortable and longer. I'm 5ft 10.5 and a 12/14, I love their shirts over jeans or linen trousers.
