My two very active very sensitive footed children (8 and 6) struggle with shoes. We go through soooo many trying to find a pair that "feel" just right. I could actually tear my hair out with the annoyance of their delicate feet.
They both have slim narrow feet and we have found that birkenstocks for everyday summer sandals (from the beach to forest hiking to messing around in the fields and lakes in minimal 27c weather that will get wet and dried throughout the day) have the least complaints about discomfort and actually fit without their foot flapping inside the shoe.
The problem is, I'm now seeing that they do rubber ones which will be more water safe and therefore will stop the cork in normal ones from so much stress and eventual brittleness. But are they as comfortable, do they get slippy with sweaty feet or when wet? Are they as long lasting?
Anybody got any experience with them?
Many thanks in advance
