I've used this product for years and it made a huge difference to my thinning hair. It seems to be discontinued - has anyone found anything as good?

Oh no! I have been looking for it too. The shampoo is still available but I really liked the conditioner.

snowynight · 02/05/2025 07:34

Absolutely! The conditioner was much more effective than the shampoo - I guess because it's on your hair for longer. Can't understand why they'd discontinue the conditioner but not the shampoo.

Anyone found a replacement?

Pantene do a grow strong version which I have just started to try. Philip Kingsley do an amazing shampoo and conditioner that add volume too. It is pricey but the bottles are huge and it lasts forever.

Is that the density shampoo and conditioner? Will give it a try. I have used their maximiser product (a spray rather than a conditioner) and it was fantastic but £££!

I think that Aldi used to do a copy of this range; I’m not sure if they still sell them as I’ve not been to an Aldi for months now.

I've seen the Elvive on Amazon but it is really over-priced.

HScully · 04/05/2025 19:04

I wrote to L'Oréal and its been discontinued 'Thanks you for contacting us and for the interest you have in L'Oréal Paris.
We understand you're having difficulty finding the L'Oréal Elvive Fibrology Thickening Conditioner, and we appreciate your effort in searching across multiple countries.
We regret to inform you that the Elvive Fibrology Conditioner has been discontinued and is no longer part of our current product range. We understand this may be disappointing and truly appreciate your loyalty to the brand.

Has a your found anything tysts like it . Im gutted as I've verbally using it for years and it works.

snowynight · 16/02/2026 20:14

In case anyone is still looking, I think I've found a dupe. Redken volume injection conditioner contains the same active ingredient, filloxane, and has brought my barnet up a treat 😁. Bit pricey, but worth it, in my case. Worth a try!
