Want to go to a short hair cut, but scared and need ideas to suit me!

Hello! I have always had long hair but since having DD, tend to have it tied back all the time which looks so plain, boring and crap! Would like to have it cut short, but have no idea as never wanted this before.

I want something that is easy to style (VERY lazy when it comes to my hair) but nothing too funky, but still looks nice.

A bit about me (to help with ideas)...I am 21, size 14-16 since having my DD (annoying as always been 10-12)I have light brown hair (but happy to change colour). Dont have loads of money to spend on expensive hair!

Any ideas ladies?
