Closed toe sling backs with a wedge?

BrassicaNapusNapobrassica · 17/05/2008 17:23

Please help me lovely Mumsnetters. I'm looking for some closed-toe sling backs with a wedge heel. Not too high and def not flat. I can't find any anywhere.

I want closed toe because I've got ridiculously ugly feet.

Ahah. My grandmother used to frequently go without pants. And she would tell us all. That's not something you really want to know is it?

Ankle chain. Oh yes, that's it. These Giving Off Messages accessories are a minefield aren't they? No wonder I never got to grips with them.

Summer shopping not going v. well but pleased with no pants shoes. Lapin's trousers, not so nice. Am sending back. Will have to go to shops I think.

ahundredtimes · 18/05/2008 08:57

Yes will go to white stuff. I did that 'haven't worn in a year' and 'no, you are never going to fit in this again, you are NOT a size 10 anymore' throw out last week. Pretty much got rid of everything. I am forcing myself into a corner.

lol @ gay poles. What else did they say?

Wags · 18/05/2008 09:21

These from Shoon. The come in a few colours.

Oh sorry Lapin. I was waiting to tell you - not to whisper behind your back, promise.

They didn't suit me. I think I ordered the wrong size though, they were HUGE and sort of fell like puddles of viscose around my ankles. Also - couldn't quite get over the material.

But I REALLY appreciate your tip. Still. Honestly, I'll buy anything anyone else likes. Anything to avoid actually having to go and do it on my own.

I really like these shoes Do you think I could wear them with summer skirts? They only come in black. Or do you think I would look a bit like I was following the yellow brick road?

Wags - I have a Shoon very near me in St Albans. I have to stop myself going in there because I never come out empty handed.

I often wear red shoes cod, they are one of my trademarks at work. I can assure you I am not religiously educating knickerless!

twinsetandpearls · 18/05/2008 11:56

BrassicaNapusNapobrassica sorry but they are ugly.

twinsetandpearls · 18/05/2008 11:57

I hate my feet but when I went to Florida I realised the worl, or the Disney bit anyway, was going to have to see me feet. I booked a pedicure and she worked miracles. It may be worth it.

twinsetandpearls · 18/05/2008 11:59

... good for summer and not too much toe on show?

twinsetandpearls · 18/05/2008 12:08

New Look shoes do wreck your feet if you wear them all day though.

Carnival · 18/05/2008 12:21

Good to know, I was planning to buy them

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 18/05/2008 12:26

I thought you'd have the answer to my prayers on this thread...

I am looking for a shoe with the following features;

closed non-pointy toe, (keep breaking toe nails on the buggy boards and shopping trolley - ouch)
wedge (which is fairly low and solid as I have very weak ankles)
summery colour

Any ideas?

(btw MrsBadger - I thought you'd be a fashion editor as you're so stylish.)

twinsetandpearls · 18/05/2008 13:01
