Leather Fit Flop Rally Trainers - making weird noise

I’ve bought a pair of leather Fit Flop Rally trainers. They are comfortable but are making a weird noise when I walk. I can’t really describe it other than maybe being like an oomphing noise from both soles. For transparency, I am overweight so I don’t know if that’s causing the noise.

Has anyone else had this and, if so, did it wear off when you wore them for a while? I bought them for a city break and would prefer I’m not oomphing around a quiet museum or art gallery 😀

I wear these for work and haven’t ever noticed a strange noise (and I’m slightly overweight). Maybe contact FitFlop to ask if yours are faulty? They’re so comfy - but fairly expensive, so you need to be fully happy with them!

Are you wearing them with socks? Mine don’t make a noise

I am wearing them with socks and don’t want to wear them without something on my feet. I didn’t think of contacting Fitflop.

I have 4 canvas pairs and no oomphing. As pp suggested, I’d contact Fitbit.

Try changing the socks especially if you’re wearing cotton socks at the moment. I have a pair of oomphy leather trainers that I need to wear 100% synthetic socks with or they’re unbelievably noisy.

I do have a couple of pairs of synthetic socks - I’ll try a pair today to see if I can rule my socks out as being the culprit of the weird noise.

Well @shuffleofftobuffalo the synthetic socks appear to have reduced the noise by about 80%. I would never have thought of trying this in a month of Sundays.

My feet are hot and sweaty now so there’s always a price to pay. Hopefully they won’t smell too much as a result 😀
