2 Michelin star lunch - outfit ona budget?!

Me and my husband have a reservation for lunch at a 2 Michelin star countryside restaurant in a few weeks. I would like to find a new Summer dress for the occasion. I'm 45, 5"2, currently a size 10, but am losing fat and plan to be a size 8 by then. I am on a tight budget (the lunch is gifted, and we already know wine with meal will be expensive). I'm happy to buy from Vinted, but need some inspiration! It would also be useful if the dress could double up for a July wedding, but it's not crucial. Ideas appreciated, thanks 😊.

You can get beautiful dresses and jumpsuits from dancing leopard on silkfred website but also cheap as chips on Vinted. I have loads of them
I’m five feet tall, they’re super flattering, amazing colours and patterns and can be dressed up or down.
I’ve worn them for weddings, work, lunches, parents events and everything in between and always receive compliments.
also if you want something less fitted and more floaty, one hundred stars looks fab and both labels are very wearable afterwards. I wear my one hundred stars kimono throughout the summer and into autumn .
you can get good deals in the sale but also lots on the various resale sites.

@IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle Thanks, I know it isn't very exciting, but does look nicer on, hides my stomach, and as another poster suggested, I can save the money of a new outfit to spend on cocktails instead if I go with this one! And to everyone discussing 'high fashion' - no, that is most definitely not what I am looking for, not me at all!

I love this dress and it’s nicer than pretty much all the offerings I’ve seen on here.
think this is much better than your culottes idea too although haven’t seen them.

Sometimes your comfort zone is just the right place.
enjoy!

What shoes?! I’m five feet and have disabilities so often fall between 12-14, sometimes more due to meds and inability to exercise. I absolutely get where you’re coming from ref your weight, I’d give anything to get down to my more natural and comfortable size.

Agreeing with everyone else who is saying that your dress is perfect @Neutralcat
Have a lovely time!

@Spandaupants if I go with the H&M dress I already own, I'll look for some wedge sandals.

Yes yes, yes to your H&M dress. It's absolutely perfect. Some flat Mary Janes would be lovely with it.

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie Thank you!

Sounds perfect, you will look lovely and be comfortable, win/ win. So much easier to wear things you know and love and that you know suit and fit you, no constant checking or readjusting!
