I don’t know what my skin needs. I’ve tried various creams, use 0.05% tret with 4% niacinamide.
I haven’t found anything that helps so I thought I’d reach out here to see whether anyone has any suggestions.

Do you have rosacea? It looks a bit like how mine stared. Azelaic acid is good but you might want to see a gp about it.

It’s always been a bit like this. I did see the GP years ago when I got bad spots and they prescribed duac which helped the spots.

It doesn’t feel bad enough to warrant a GP visit IMO but I am a person that often feels like I’m wasting others time …

So the gp actually prescribed me a topical antibiotics cant remember the name and it cleared up my rosacea.

I vote go see GP

I can see the photo!
After a lot of trial and error, I found that I need a very simple skin care routine.
Retinoids, acids, tret all made my skin very reactive. Which is frustrating because I did months of ‘purging’.

After a in person dermatologist appointment, I’ve actually saved a fortune by going back to basics.

My skin has the occasional breakout (hormonal) but left alone recovers well. Pores look better, redness has disappeared. My skin likes consistency and simplicity.
