What to do with my fine hair.

Hello wise mumsnetters,

I have searched this and read the previous threads - there hasn’t been one recently from what I can see so thought it worth a re-ask.

I have fine hair. Hairdressers tell me there’s nothing wrong with the amount of hair, no baldness etc,it’s just … fine!

Since having my DC I haven’t given it much thought but more and more I think it looks flat and lifeless!

How am I supposed to style it? I’m stuck in a quick straighten or a messy ponytail. There’s never any lift and I don’t have a clue where to start! Keen for any suggestions on easy hair ups too!

I feel your pain! My hair is very fine and straight and has always been the bane of my life. I have a Dyson Airwrap which does a pretty good job of giving me some volume, but my hair is just too silky to get any sense of curl.

I usually just do a messy bun or ponytail but I could really do with suggestions too!

My hair is very fine, but I have lots of it apparently. I have a soft pixie but the principle is the same
i comb “ old fashioned” mousse through my hair Swartzkopf Volumn mania in my case
Then dry on gentle setting with head tipped forward, aiming at the roots first.
