Quick, tell me what to wear tonight - I am so indecisive

I'm going to a big girls' night in at a friends house - lots of people going.

Do I go very casually - wide leg dark jeans, patent birkies, nice but casual top

Or can I go in heels do you think, with smarter, closer fitting jeans, smarter top - or will it be OTT for a house drinks/buffet thingy?

Usually I don't care and I just dress how I want but it's that dreaded time of month and my confidence always takes a nosedive and I worry irrationally about what to wear!!

Arrrghghghghghghgh!

girls' night in is widelegs and birkies to me. hth - and have fun!

Tatterdemalion · 16/05/2008 18:16

heels. Please wear heels. Birkies are for shlomping in. If you have your period and wear birkies you'll end up sitting on the sofa all night, eating too many pringles and dips.

Ha ha!

I kind of feel like if I wear birkies, that's what I wear in the playground.

It's just that they would be very comfy.

But I think I might feel more glam in heels and I like to feel glam if going out...

So a satin, fitted/tailored Coast top with jeans and heels will be OK?

If we have a girls night in we usually dress comfy. But if it was for an event, birthday etc we'd dress up a bit. Maybe nice jeans, nice top and ballet pumps. Not going outy dressed up though.

Oh God, now both friends have been texting -- they are both wearing flats and telling me to go for comfort.

SH*t, now I have to think of a different top to wear!

Heels, definitely. Any excuse to wear something you wouldn't normally wear during the day. I'm going out too tonight with the girls and can't wait to get some heels on. Everything else will be relatively casual but heels just give it that different edge. Like the sound of your outfit.

heels go on, you know you want to. I want to wear heels but have no girls night to go to

If they're really good mates - or at least some of them are - it won't matter will it? Go for comfort and enjoy yourself. I was at a "do" at one of the Yummy Mummy's houses the other night, spent ages working out what to wear, wore my best clothes and still looked crap by comparison.

Thanks all. I am ready now and I think I look good actually

Have on wide leg dark jeans, Coast top (it's a satin t-shirt shape, but it's very fitted and flattering shape), black patent birkies, big Pilgrim flower ring (all silver), have blue eye make up (quite dark).
