Can this dress be shortened?

I'm 5 foot and no doubt it'll be long on me. Everything always is! But because of the style and material I'm not sure if it'll be able to be taken up?

Also - any recommendations for where to get some nice summer dresses, preferably somewhere with a decent petite range?

Should be fine to take up - do you mean just the hem? It’ll be a narrow rolled hem that you can do either by hand or on a machine.

Lovely dress. Is it worth taking it to your local dry cleaners as they might be able to do it if you aren't confident? Mine does this, puts new zips in etc.

Yes it can be shortened. Any decent tailor won't be phased by the pleats if you are just taking the hem up.

Hopefully as it's from the petite range it shouldn't need too much doing to it - but the model is apparently 5'6 soo....
